At Ascent Racing, we believe ski racing is more than just about winning—it’s about personal growth, building confidence, and fostering a lifelong love for the sport.

By adhering to the best practices from U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Alpine Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) models, we equip your child with the skills, guidance, and support they need for long-term success—both on and off the slopes. Our training is developmentally appropriate and designed to meet each athlete where they are, ensuring a well-rounded, progressive path to excellence.

Ascent Ski Racing introduces young athletes to the technical and tactical fundamentals of alpine ski racing. Our program includes directed free skiing and skills acquisition through drills, both inside and outside of gates. No prior race experience is needed, making Ascent the ideal starting point for athletes looking to explore ski racing.

Powered by Pinnacle, Ascent racers benefit from the same coaching philosophies and methodologies that have driven the success of Pinnacle Alpine Racing teams. Our close integration ensures athletes at every level, from beginner to advanced, receive the highest standard of training and development.

Ascent racers will also have the opportunity to participate in the Thunderbolt/Ascent race series, competing at Pine Knob, Mt. Holly, and Alpine Valley, preparing them for future success with Pinnacle Alpine Racing.

By operating the Ascent program at both Mt Holly and Pine Knob, we can offer athletes a wider range of terrain and training environments, which is crucial for their long term development. While each resort individually provides strong training opportunities, the combination of both allows us to mitigate crowd-related limitations that can affect our ability to execute the most effective drills and course setups. Utilizing two resorts not only provides the variety needed to develop well rounded athletes bit also maximizes training efficiency by giving us more flexibility and space to work with.

Gold Training Program (32 Training Days + 5 - 8 Race Days)

Our most comprehensive program, ideal for young athletes who want to maximize their time on the snow and improve rapidly. With 3 training sessions per week and a total of 32 days on snow, this program ensures a deep dive into technique, race preparation, and personal development.

Silver Training Program (22 Days + 5 - 8 Race Days)

A perfect balance of flexibility and performance, the Silver Training Program offers 2 training days per week, giving athletes a solid foundation in ski racing while accommodating busy family schedules. With 22 total training days, this program builds skill and confidence.

Bronze Training Program (11 Days + 5 - 8 Race Days)

Our entry-level program is designed for athletes who are new to ski racing or looking for a lower time commitment. With one training day per week, this program offers a structured introduction to ski racing fundamentals, with plenty of room for growth.
